Addington Square, Camberwell, South London

Near Burgess Park, well preserved Addington Square dates from the early nineteenth century.  Developed between 1810 and 1850, the square fell into decline and was close to being demolished in the 1970s. Number 33 (shown above) was occupied in the 1960s by South London gangsters the Richardson brothers, Charlie and Eddie, according to Bridge to Nowhere.
