Following the chalky grey Mirna River below the hilltop town of Buzet, you can walk through a lush green valley on a scree track that takes you through open landscapes, clumps of forest and in the shadow of some impressive cliffs. Along the way, there are pools to bathe in and boulders to clamber over, if you are feeling athletic.
